Trump Kicks Off America’s 250th Celebration In Iowa

President Donald Trump will visit Des Moines on July 3 for an event to kick off what he’s touted as a year of celebrations culminating in the United States’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.

The event, hosted by America250, will include a “Salute to America” celebration and feature remarks from the president. The nonpartisan group, founded in 2016, also hosted the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade in Washington, D.C., in May.

“This special event serves as the magnificent start of a dynamic, year-long commemoration across our beautiful country, unveiling a vision for a renewed commitment to America’s future,” said Ambassador Monica Crowley, Principal Media Representative for America250.

This will mark Trump’s first visit to Iowa since January of 2024, when he won the state’s caucuses.
