The Atlantic Publishes Full Trump Cabinet Group Chat On Yemen Strikes After Officials Deny Classified Breach

THIS IS WHEN THE FIRST BOMBS WILL DEFINITELY DROP…

The Atlantic has published a full transcript of a Signal group chat involving senior Trump administration officials, revealing detailed discussions about planned military strikes in Yemen. This group chat, organized by National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, included key figures such as Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Notably, The Atlantic‘s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, was inadvertently added to the chat, leading to the exposure of sensitive operational details.

The disclosed messages contained specifics about attack targets, weapon systems and sequencing of the strikes. Despite the detailed nature of these communications, administration officials, including Hegseth and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, have asserted that no classified information was shared. They maintain that the discussions, while sensitive, did not breach security protocols.

Axios provides a key excerpt of the messages that Hegseth sent to a group of 18 senior national security officials and Goldberg:

Axios‘ Zachary Basu continues:

Between the lines: Whether the messages were “classified” is not yet known, but the discussion of specific times and weapons packages are undoubtedly highly sensitive.

National security adviser Mike Waltz, who invited Goldberg to the group chat, revealed in the newly released texts that a building had collapsed and Houthi targets were positively identified.

“The first target — their top missile guy — we had positive ID of him walking into his girlfriend’s building and now its collapsed,” Waltz wrote in a text addressed to Vice President Vance.

What they’re saying: White House communications officials quickly downplayed the release of the messages, noting that the new Atlantic headline used the phrase “attack plans” rather than “war plans.”

This incident has sparked bipartisan concern over the handling of sensitive information and the use of non-secure communication channels for national security matters. Democratic lawmakers are calling for thorough investigations to assess potential risks and prevent future occurrences.

President Trump has defended his officials, particularly Michael Waltz, labeling the criticism as “unfair” and emphasizing confidence in his team’s integrity. The administration is currently reviewing communication practices to enhance security measures.

  1. IF THIS INFO WAS SO IMPORTANT THAN WHY WOULD THE ATLANTIC NEWSPAPER PUBLISH THE ARTICLE WHEN THE SECURITY OF THE UNITED STATES WAS AT RISK. THIS, TO ME, IS THE NEWSPAPER WANTING TO GET THE “SCOOP” THEN BE ING WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF HIS COUNTRY. HE COULD HAVE CONTACTED THE GOVERNMENT THAT HE RECEIVED THIS INFO AND INSURE THE LEAK WOULD BE CORRECTED. BUT NO, HE CHOSE PARTISAN POLITICS IN LIEU OF NATIONALY SAFETY. THAT TELLS YOU A LOT ABOUT THIS NEWSPAPER AND INDIVIDUAL.

    • Excellent summary! The Atlantic and Jeffrey Goldberg are guilty of treason if you believe them. Book’em Danno!

  2. Yup, “Leaked” as planned, smh. Common sense all you “Hand Wringer” “Pearl clutchers”. What better way to find out where those hiding themselves and weaponry than to announce when the bombs will drop? When those low I.Q. Terrorists hear that, they start moving themselves and their bombs. Well, well, guess who’s watching from the sky and from space. BOOM!!!!!!! Damn, you Libs are stupid!!

  3. This is more of an indictment of the the reporter and his anti America bias than anyone within the administration. If it really were some critical war planning what kind of asshole would publish it in order to harm our country.
