Trump To Travel To Georgia Following Hurricane Helene

Former President Trump will visit Georgia on Monday for a briefing on the damage from Hurricane Helene.

According to the Trump campaign, the Republican candidate will visit a furniture store in Valdosta that was destroyed in the storm. He is expected to meet with local officials, help distribute relief supplies and deliver remarks.

The former president spent the weekend campaigning in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, two key battleground states. Georgia is another pivotal swing state in November’s election, which Trump narrowly lost in 2020.

Hurricane Helene made landfall Thursday in Florida as a Category 4 hurricane, bringing with it devastating winds and rainfall. At least 91 people have been killed across several states, The Associated Press reported.
