Former President Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) are set to hold a joint press conference Friday focussed on election integrity, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to The Hill.
The press conference is scheduled to take place at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., the source said. A second source familiar told The Hill that an event Friday is the plan, but the details are still being finalized.
The event comes as Speaker Johnson faces an effort to oust him led by pro-Trump Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) The Georgia Republican filed a motion to vacate — the same mechanism used to oust former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) — last month.
