Trump To Attend SpaceX Rocket Launch

President-elect Donald Trump is planning to attend the launch of a SpaceX rocket in Texas on Tuesday, sources familiar with the plans confirmed to The New York Times.

SpaceX will be conducting its sixth test of its Starship rocket, the largest and most powerful rocket ever built, which it soon hopes to use to deliver more of its Starlink communications satellites into orbit and to carry NASA astronauts to the moon.

Eventually, Musk wants to use Starship to take humans to Mars.

The launch is scheduled for 5 p.m. EST. However, Trump’s plans are subject to change.

Trump’s plans to attend the launch highlights the pairs increasingly close relationship since Musk endorsed the former President after a failed assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.Since Election Day, Musk has been a near-constant presence at Trump’s side at a Mar-a-Lago.

Muskwas also tapped to co-lead a new government efficiency department alongside entrepreneur and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
