President Trump on Tuesday secured a $600 billion commitment from Saudi Arabia to invest in the United States amid his visit to the Middle East.

In addition to the multi-billion investment, President Trump also announced a multi-billion dollar defense partnership following a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh.

The investment, according to a White House fact sheet, will strengthen energy security, defense, technology and access to global infrastructure and critical minerals. It includes a $142 billion defense and security deal that equips Saudi Arabia with state of the art war equipment provided by dozens of U.S. firms.

The equipment include air and missile defense and air force and space advancements.

The White House called the deal “historic and transformative for both countries” and said it brings in “a new golden era of partnership.”

Days after Trump’s inauguration, the crown prince first announced that the Arab nation would invest $600 billion in the U.S. over the four years of Trump’s second term. The White House details those investments following the meeting in Saudi Arabia.

As part of the deal, Saudi Arabian company DataVolt is moving forward with plans to invest $20 billion in AI data centers and energy infrastructure in the U.S. and top companies like Google, Oracle, Salesforce and Uber, among others, are investing $80 billion in technologies in both countries.

“President Trump is the dealmaker in chief, and he has once again secured a historic deal that strengthens America’s economic dominance and global influence,” the White House fact sheet said.

Last week, Trump teased a “massive announcement” was coming during his trip to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

“We’re going to have a very, very big announcement to make, like as big as it gets,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, where he is meeting with Canada’s new Prime Minister Mark Carney. “And I won’t tell you on what … and it’s very positive.”

“It is really, really positive. And that announcement will be made either Thursday or Friday or Monday before we leave,” Trump added. “But it’ll be one of the most important announcements that have been made in many years about a certain subject, very important subject. So you’ll all be here.”

  1. It must be refreshing for the Saudis to deal with an INTELLIGENT businessman, rather than with the whispering dodo pedophile who would rather go around smelling little girls hair than tend to the country’s business and welfare.
