Breaking with tradition…

The NAACP said Monday it would not invite President Trump to its annual convention, breaking its 116-year tradition of inviting the sitting president.

The civil rights organization criticized Trump for a “fascist playbook” that it said pushes “radical” and “un-American” initiatives. It also is not inviting Vice President JD Vance to its convention.

“Our annual convention is meant to be a safe space for all people — regardless of political ideology — who believe in multiracial democracy and the ideal of building a more perfect union. To that end, the NAACP has made the decision to break with tradition and not invite Donald Trump or J.D. Vance this year,” the NAACP wrote in their statement

“This administration does not respect the Constitution or the rule of law. It would be a waste of our time and energy to give a platform to fascism, which would be unacceptable,” they added.

Former presidents Harry Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have attended past conventions. Former President Biden attended last year’s event.

The NAACP isn’t advancing anything but hate and division, while the President is focused on uniting our country, improving our economy, securing our borders, and establishing peace across the globe,” White House spokesperson Harrison Fields said in a statement to The Hill.

“This is the same vision for America that a record number of Black Americans supported in the resounding reelection of President Trump. The Democrats have sold out Black voters to appease their base, which consists of the pronoun police, purple-haired lunatics, and radical anti-Semites,” he added.

The NAACP cited a series of executive orders that “undo” federal civil rights protections in making its decision to not invite Trump.

  1. It is a complement to President Trump that the NAACP has excluded him from their conference. For decades this group has been radicalized and rabid haters of anything WHITE! So not attending is an okay thing. We are a nation of all flavors from black to white so it is long past time for this particular group to begin their own extinction.

Adios pendejos from one of mixed heritage in this great melting pot of the USA. For many decades I have watched this particular group spread their hate and discontent. Now they are really proving who they really are with their exclusion of a greater than great sitting president!

  2. The NAACP and the black population, in general, is becoming racist. The proper term is anti-whiteist.

  3. How would the blacks like it if America came up with a “WHITE CAUCUS,” a White “Beauty Pageant,” a “White Men’s College,” or NAAWP for “National Association for the Advancement of White People” to educate those white people who have been RELEGATED to the bottom rung of the ladder when it comes to education ladder, in order that illegals and blacks get the choice spots?

Would there be rioting and burning as a result?

  4. This present day NAACP IS NOT THE SAME ORGANIZATION THAT HAD MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. It is now a oraganization of Black Hatred for White People and a Political Arm of the Democrat Party. Those who have been fooled by the Democrats that they are the Party of Racial Equality and Fairness, while their History shows they are the Party of Slavery, KKK, and Jim Crow Era. If the Black People in this organization would educate themselves, they would see it was The Republican Party that had their BACKS not the Democrats who are using them for their purpose of Money and Power. They are already slowly losing the Black Vote and if you will take notice, Y’all will see you are being replaced with Hispanic illegal immigrants. These are the same immigrants who are taking your jobs from your community especially in Construction and Trades, and Hospitality. Educate yourself!

  5. I am so glad I was born in 1938 to a fabulous generation who (we) proceeded (and still do) in life correctly and continue to support the original United States of America. I am now 87 years old, up every morning at about midnight to start the day on my 32-acre Arabian Horse Ranch that my husband started back in the late 1950’s. My husband passed away in January of 2016 at the age of 82, I miss him terribly but have and always will continue living here, owning this 32 acre Ranch and have arranged to have these fantastic true Arabian Horses continue until at least the next 298 years. It is Amazing what one can do when having spent many years learning, learning and always continuing to learn. The very educated and smart folks are still out there. VBG

  6. The late Rush Limbaugh was correct when he called the NAACP the NAALCP. Its comments about President Trump is proof that it is a left wing organization. The NAACP did not specify what civil rights were taken away by President Trump via executive orders. I doubt that true civil rights were taken away by President Trump, but that these executive orders protect the rights of most Americans.
