Famous Rapper Joins President Trump In Appearance

Rapper Nicki Minaj appeared alongside President Donald Trump on Wednesday, publicly declaring herself his “number one fan” during an event promoting a new proposal to provide financial support for American children.

Minaj joined Trump on stage at an event highlighting the upcoming launch of “Trump Accounts,” a program designed to provide every newborn with $1,000 that would be invested in the stock market and made accessible when the child turns 18. During her remarks, Minaj dismissed criticism of the president and said attacks against him only strengthened her support.

“Well, I don’t know what to say, but I will say that I am probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change, and the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all,” Minaj said. “It actually motivates me to support him more, and it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more. We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and, you know, the smear campaigns.”

Minaj also announced plans to personally contribute between $150,000 and $300,000 toward funding Trump Accounts — also referred to as Section 530A accounts — for her fans. She said the contributions would help give children “a major head start in life,” though it remains unclear which recipients would qualify for the funds.

“Shark Tank” personality Kevin O’Leary also appeared on stage with Trump and Minaj during the event.

The appearance marks the latest step in Minaj’s emergence as a high-profile conservative political voice. In November 2025, she accompanied U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz to the U.N., where she spoke about Christian persecution in Nigeria and urged international action to provide Christians with “peace and security.”

Minaj also made headlines in December at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, where she participated in a surprise question-and-answer session hosted by CEO Erika Kirk. During that appearance, Minaj criticized Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom and expressed her support for Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.

Her growing visibility in conservative political circles has drawn both praise and criticism, but Minaj has repeatedly said public backlash has only reinforced her willingness to speak out and support causes she believes in.
