First Lady Melania Trump has released the first details for the 148th annual White House Easter Egg Roll, set to take place on Monday, April 6, 2026, on the South Lawn.
Families with children 13 and under are invited to join the President, First Lady, White House staff, and their families for a full day of spring festivities and traditional Easter fun at one of the White House’s most enduring public events.
A Tradition Dating Back to 1878
The Easter Egg Roll has been a staple of White House history since 1878, when it began during the presidency of Rutherford B. Hayes. Nearly a century and a half later, it remains a cherished tradition for families across the country.
