Trump Sinks Trade Negotiations With Canada Over Intention to Recognize Palestine

It’s over…

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump warned Canada it would now be “very hard” for the two countries to come to a trade agreement after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced his intention to recognize a Palestinian state.

“Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine,” wrote Trump in a late-night Truth Social post. “That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them. Oh’ Canada!!!”

Earlier on Wednesday, Canada announced its intention to recognize a Palestinian state at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September.

“Canada has long been committed to a two-state solution – an independent, viable, and sovereign Palestinian state living side by side with the State of Israel in peace and security,” said the Canadian prime minister in a statement. “For decades, it was hoped that this outcome would be achieved as part of a peace process built around a negotiated settlement between the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority. Regrettably, this approach is no longer tenable.”

Carney cited the ongoing “humanitarian disaster” in Gaza, Israeli “settler violence against Palestinians,” and “the pervasive threat of Hamas terrorism” as reasons for the move, declaring, “For these reasons, Canada intends to recognize the State of Palestine.”

The prime minister added, however, that Canada’s recognition of Palestine would be predicated on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas holding general elections in 2026, excluding Hamas from said elections, and working “to demilitarize the Palestinian state.”

Canada has been engaged in trade negotiations with the Trump administration since February, when Trump announced a 25% tariff.

  1. Just make sure our northern border is as secured as our southern one is right now! Canada has recently become another dictatorship the likevof which are also seen in radical leftist states in the US. They’re weak and will always go with what the rest of UK decides!

  2. Yet Canada avoids the “two state solution” when Quebec wishes to secede. What hypocrites! Notice Quebec never rocketed the rest of Canada, invaded and killed 1200+ citizens and kidnapped and tortured about 300 more.

  3. When your economy is 10% of another nation’s and your ATMs (Alberta and Saskatchewan) are a-fixing to leave you sitting flat on your bum, maybe you ought to pull in your horns a bit. Just a suggestion.

  4. canadians are like our citizens of most of the West Coast states and ceaping east, Vermont, New Hamshire, Maine, Mass, and most of New York, very short sited and belives that your government should take care of you instead of what can you do for your government.

  5. Sorry, I AGREE with Canada. Time for Israel to move out of the land it has grabbed. On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel. U.S. President Harry S. Truman recognized the new nation on the same day. 77 years later they are STILL sucking off the US taxpayer money to the tune of MILLLIONS every year. For what?

THEY HAVE COMMITTMED genocide against Palestine since the day they became as “State of Israel” They seem to like killing – anyone and everyone.

They don’t have ANY kind of Anti-Nuke deal with the USA or any other Country
They CONSTANTLY are at war with other countries, don’t pay the USA to defend them but the USA does for FREE
They offer automatic dual citizenship to proclaimed “jews” from other countries

Am I anti-Jewish? Hardly. My daughter in law is part Jewish and 90% of my business clients our out of NYC area are Jewish or something other than native born American. I actually worked at a Charles Kushner Co in NJ, yes , THOSE Kushners. As in Trump’s in laws.

    The ugly truth hurrts
