White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles announced Wednesday that she is cancer-free, delivering an encouraging health update six months after revealing her early-stage breast cancer diagnosis.
“After a medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic this week, my pathology results came back clear,” Wiles wrote in a statement posted on X. “I am cancer free.”
Wiles thanked her family, friends and medical team, along with everyone who prayed for her and offered support during her treatment.
She also expressed her gratitude to President Donald Trump for his “unwavering support” throughout her health battle.
“I am deeply grateful and will continue to work to advance his America First Agenda,” Wiles said.
Wiles publicly disclosed her diagnosis in March, saying doctors had detected the cancer at an early stage. Despite undergoing treatment, she continued serving as one of Trump’s closest and most influential advisers rather than stepping away from her White House responsibilities.
CBS News reported that Wiles underwent a procedure related to her diagnosis at the Mayo Clinic earlier this week and returned to work shortly afterward, conducting calls and leading meetings.
Wiles, the first woman to serve as White House chief of staff, managed Trump’s successful 2024 presidential campaign before taking charge of his second-term White House operation.
Her announcement marks a hopeful milestone after months of treatment—and Wiles made clear that she remains committed to helping Trump carry out his agenda.
