A step in the right direction…

President Donald Trump on Saturday announced a major breakthrough in negotiations over Gaza, saying Israel has agreed to an “initial withdrawal line” — a key step toward a ceasefire and the return of Israeli hostages.

“After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line, which we have shown to, and shared with, Hamas. When Hamas confirms, the Ceasefire will be IMMEDIATELY effective, the Hostages and Prisoner Exchange will begin, and we will create the conditions for the next phase of withdrawal, which will bring us close to the end of this 3,000 YEAR CATASTROPHE,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Thank you for your attention to this matter and, STAY TUNED!”

The announcement follows months of intense U.S. diplomacy and military pressure on Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signaled Saturday that a long-awaited deal is finally near, while making clear Israel will keep a strong security presence inside Gaza to protect its citizens.

“It is not yet final; we are working on it diligently, and I hope, with God’s help, that in the coming days, during the Sukkot holiday, I will be able to inform you about the return of all our hostages, both living and deceased, in one phase, while the IDF remains deep within the Strip and in the controlling areas within it,” Netanyahu said.

According to Netanyahu, Hamas was forced to accept Israel’s plan after sustained military and diplomatic pressure — despite earlier claims that the terror group was willing to release hostages without a full withdrawal. The first phase of the agreement would see Hamas release all Israeli hostages while the Israel Defense Forces redeploy but keep control over key security areas inside Gaza.

Netanyahu is dispatching his negotiating team, led by Minister Ron Dermer, to Egypt to finalize the technical details of the exchange in the coming days. He stressed that both Israel and the U.S. are committed to preventing Hamas from stalling or backtracking.

In the next phase, Netanyahu said Hamas would be fully disarmed and Gaza demilitarized — through diplomacy under the Trump Plan if possible, or by military action if necessary.

  1. Time to kick Israel to the curb and INSIST on PEACE of Israel LOSES ALL US $$$$$$

Enough is enough. They agree to a treaty/cease fire and 5 minutes later are bombing the bejesus out of Palestine.

They don’t REALLY want peace, they want anniliation of Palestine !

  2. This is not a done deal. Hamas has to agree with it and comply. They wil never agree without major and unacceptable changes.
