Trump Signals Stronger Ties With Ukraine In Truth Social Message

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he believes Ukraine could “take back” its country in its “original form” from Russia, promising to continue to supply weapons for NATO.

The president spoke out shortly after he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the United Nations headquarters in New York. About 20 minutes later, the president posted a lengthy message on his platform, TruthSocial, sharing a rather surprising update.

“After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form,” the president said. “With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option.”

“Why not?” he questioned. “Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years a War that should have taken a Real Military Power less than a week to win. This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like ‘a paper tiger.’”

The president continued: “When the people living in Moscow, and all of the Great Cities, Towns, and Districts all throughout Russia, find out what is really going on with this War, the fact that it’s almost impossible for them to get Gasoline through the long lines that are being formed, and all of the other things that are taking place in their War Economy, where most of their money is being spent on fighting Ukraine, which has Great Spirit, and only getting better, Ukraine would be able to take back their Country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that!”

Trump concluded the Truth Social missive by promising to continue to supply weapons to NATO.

“Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act,” he wrote. “In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told Fox News anchor Bret Baier in an exclusive interview with “Special Report” that his relationship with President Donald Trump has grown closer, with more frequent communication and stronger alignment on how to handle the ongoing war with Russia.

Asked directly by Baier if his ties with Trump had improved, Zelenskyy said, “I think we have better relations than before. It’s good that we have often [had] phone calls and meetings, and the fact that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin was lying to President Trump so many times also made a difference between us.”

Zelenskyy also said the intelligence shared between Kyiv and Washington is now more closely aligned, which he described as important for making decisions on the battlefield.

During the program, Baier read out part of Trump’s Truth Social message.  Zelenskyy admitted the outlook surprised him but called it encouraging.

“President Trump was more positive in it, and he showed that he wants to support Ukraine to the very end,” Zelenskyy said. “I was very positive about signals from the side that Trump and America will be with us to the end of the war.”

  1. Europe needs this war more than the USA. Europe if falling apart economically, financially and HAS NO MILITARY DEFENSE without the USA.

Moscow will keep churning out weapons much more superior to the USA and any European county. Putin could literally take out all of major European cities with swift action.

Trump is starting to look like a fool with all this waffling. Either you are supporting Ukraine against the will of the Americans who voted for him or he needs to walk away, wash his hands of the mess and let Europe deal with it.

He says the USA doesn’t need NATO – then get out of it! He says we don’t need the UN, then move it out of the USA.

Stop babbling, back tracking and looking like an idiot. The military industrial complex seems to have Trump by the cajones !
